Anacronía

Anacronía is an ensemble that seeks to find a new relationship between classical music and the audience in concert format, basing its staging on spontaneity, fun and shared energy on and off stage, through the recreation of those musical anachronistic moments that happened throughout history in those periods of transition and confrontation of languages.

They have been selected in Spain by the Circuito Festclásica (Emergent Ensemble 2023) and the Sociedad de Artistas Intérpretes o Ejecutantes de España (AIENRUTA 2023), and awarded by the Spanish Early Music Groups Association (Best Young Group 2022). They are also the organising ensemble of the ECOS Festival of Sierra Espuña (Region of Murcia) and resident ensemble of the Basilica of Santa Maria del Pi (Barcelona).

They were selected in 2022 to participate in the International Young Artists Presentation (IYAP) in Antwerp (Belgium), performing a concert at AMUZ; and in the Fringe of the Oude Muziek festival in Utrecht (Holland). They have taken their music to festivals of international relevance, such as the Festival Misteria Paschalia in Krakow (Poland); and nationally, such as the Quincena Musical de San Sebastián, the Santander International Festival or the Semana de Música Antigua de Estella.

The ensemble was consolidated in 2020, after years of participation of its musicians in the University of Murcia ‘s Orchestra and the ECOS Festival. Its members have been trained in renowned European centres such as Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag (Holland), Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon (France), Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Graz (Austria), Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (Spain), Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo do Porto (Portugal) or Conservatorio Superior de Música de Murcia (Spain).

They were awarded in the competition “Juventudes Musicales de España” in 2021, in the category of Early Music (Special Prize to the “Best Performer of Baroque Music” of the Bachcelona Festival); and they are part of the Spanish Early Music Groups Association(GEMA) since 2021.
