This survey aims to explore the professional realities, challenges and aspirations of mid-career musicians in the field of Early Music and Historically Informed Performance (HIP) practices. In this contect, HIP is understood as a broad field covering repertoires from the Middle Ages to the Romantic period, up to the early decades of the twentieth century.
While the focus is on mid-career musicians, we encourage artists at all career stages to share their perspectives, as your input will help us better understand the broader professional landscape.
The results intend to support advocacy efforts and inform future support schemes, while also providing space to reflect on lived professional experiences and trajectories.
Your responses are anonymous and will be accessed only by the research team. At the end of the survey, you may choose to leave your email if you wish to participate in a follow-up interview.
We appreciate your time and contribution. To take the survey… 👇
