2017 Consone Quartet Engagements

During the 2016 eeemerging Festival in Ambronay on October 8th and 9th, the partners listened to the 6 ensembles selected in 2016 and voted for 4 of them to be selected for a second year of support. Consone Quartet is one of them.

2017 will see Consone Quartet returning to Ambronay, Brighton and York Early Music Festivals. They will be making new appearances at London’s Wigmore Hall, Lake District Summer Music, Sandbach Concert Series, Maidenhead Music Society, North Cumbria Recitals and the Buxton Festival where they will share the day, dedicated to the string quartet, with the Fitzwilliam String Quartet with whom they will also play the Mendelssohn Octet.
EEEmerging residencies will take place again at Ambronay Cultural Encounter Centre (France) and also in the historic university city of Göttingen (International Handel Festpiele, Germany).
In May they will be visiting Vienna for a Royal College of Music patrons’ trip where we will perform with Ashley Solomon, flute and Colin Lawson, clarinet.
