Voces Suaves is a vocal group specialising in the Renaissance and baroque music, with one voice per part.
Founded in 2012 by Tobias Wicky, Voces Suaves is formed of nine professional singers under the direction of Francesco Saverio Pedrini, and were for the most part trained at the Schola Cantorum in Basel. Thanks to the research undertaken by their musical director, the ensemble has accumulated a huge repertoire of madrigals and works by composers such as Monteverdi, de Wert, Marenzio and Gesualdo.
Within the eeemerging project, Voces Suaves was in residence at the Ambronay Cultural Encounter Centre (France) from 13 to 17 April to record a disc of madrigals that will be released on the Ambronay Editions Young Ensemble collection in November 2016.
The ensemble will be in residence at Ghislierimusica in Pavia (Italy) in November 2016.
