L’Apothéose Ensemble is a space of celebration, reflection and experimentation for its members. Laura Quesada and Carla Sanfélix had it clear when they met and played together one of the wonderful pieces by Couperin, something magical had been born and they did not want to leave it there. From that experience and the love for what they did and what they longed to do, the ensemble L’Apothéose was born at the end of 2015, joining later the great adventure Asís Márquez.
From its beginnings, they wanted to take the historical interpretation to the highest level, maintaining clear ideas and joining all their Knowledge to convey to the listener the emotional content and rhetoric of each composer. They receive the recognition of the public in each concert for its vigorousness and expression, and have been 2nd prize in the Förderpreis Alte Musik Saarland of Saarbrücken, as well as group selected for the Van Wassenaer International Competition 2016 in Utrecht.
Its interpreters have a solid classical and historicist academic training and have been part of ensembles such as the Capilla Real de Madrid, La Madrileña, Bachorkester Mainz, Ars Combinatoria and La Spagna among others. As a group, they have received advice from Jana Semerádová, Jaap ter Linden, Wilbert Hazelzet, Kristin von Goltz, Richard Egarr, Jesper Christensen, Alberto Martinez or Guillermo Peñalver.
Its chamber music repertoire ranges from the early baroque to the end of classicism, traveling through all the great European nations and their different styles.
