The Castello Consort
The Castello Consort is a young professional ensemble, specialized in the authentic performance of 17th century music. The members of the Castello Consort joined together in the early music department of the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague (The Netherlands). There, they have had several lessons with the renown sackbut player Charles Toet (Concerto Palatino), an expert in Renaissance and early Baroque music.
Within the eeemerging programme, The Castello Consort will be in residency at at York Early Music Centre (United Kingdom) from 21 to 31 May and at Ghislieri Musica (Italy) from 22 to 30 September. The ensemble will also take part in the eeemerging Festival during the Ambronay Festival in October 2017.
